Following an active afternoon in Beverly Hills, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted having a blast at the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Winners Circle Gala, held at the Hollywood Palladium.

The “Simple Life” cutie looked oh-so-hot in a green minidress with a black and white sash teamed with a pair of strappy black heels.



Meanwhile, her “I Don’t Wanna Be in Love” singer boyfriend looked sylish in a black jacket overtop a black and white checked shirt with grey trousers and a fall-time beard.

The Breeders’ Cup is a horse racing event that kicks off today. The main draw for the weekend long track extravaganza is the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday, with twelve horses to compete for a $5 million prize.
